Have you ever been part of the Linton Public Library’s summer reading program? Last year, over 300 children, teens, and adults signed up to take part in the library’s summer reading program. This year, we would like to see that number grow!
Residents of all ages are invited to take part in the summer reading program! This is an all ages, family and community event designed to promote literacy and to foster a love of reading!
Linton Public Library’s 2012 summer reading programs are: “Dream Big Read” for children ages birth to 11, “Own the Night” for teens 12-18, and “Between the Covers” for adults. Residents interested in joining the summer reading program need only visit the library beginning May 29 to sign up and to receive their reading card. As they read, they can earn various incentive prizes, receive raffle tickets for the grand prizes, and attend a variety of fun and educational programs. This year we will welcome the animal education group, Animal Tales, as they present two interactive programs—Creepy Critters and Nature’s Nightlife! Plan to catch these programs June 25.
With community support, we can provide our patrons with the best summer reading program possible! All donations will go toward summer reading prizes and programs. Donors also will have their name displayed at the library. Donations may be mailed to 95 SE 1st St., Linton, IN 47441.

We hope to see you during Summer Reading 2012!
