My Art: Where it Comes From and Where it’s Going
Join Wyatt LeGrand for a discussion on the influences that have helped shape his artwork. The lecture will include a brief history of the artist, an overlook of his studies and practices, and a conversation on continuing and preserving the arts in our community through appreciation and education.
The evening will end with a demonstration of Wyatt’s painting technique and a viewing of some of the artist’s recent work. Artwork and prints will be available for sale at this event.
Those attending Wyatt’s lecture will have an early opportunity to sign up for a 1-day painting workshop that will be held at the Linton Public Library on Saturday, March 20th There will also be sign-ups available for upcoming oil painting classes and private art lessons offered at LeGrand Art Studio & Gallery.

Fine Forgiveness Week February 8th – 14th
Share the Love
To celebrate this season of love, The Linton Public Library, will host a food drive. “Share the love” by donating non-perishable items that are not damaged or expired, and have $.50(per item donated) of any current fines forgiven for returned materials.
All donated items will go to the local food bank to help those in our community in need.

Valentine’s Day Book Sale
The Linton Friends of the Library will have a book sale on February 12th and 13th, during library hours.
The Friends are trying to raise money to help support the Children’s Summer Reading Program for 2010. We’re also looking for donations of books, movies, and games; if you would like to donate, feel free to drop your items off at the Linton Public Library.
